I heart Google Music!

So I had Google Music Beta for about a month now… maybe two months, but I’m so addicted to Pandora that I never really had a reason to use it. Until…I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I figured as soon as I logged into wifi in Mexico, Pandora would  just work…?…nope…And because I didn’t plan on that happening I didn’t have any music downloaded on my phone or my ipad. I’m not sure if you have ever been to  Mexico but the radio only plays Spanish music and when your trying to get ready for your wedding, that really isn’t going to cut it.  So as I was trying to figure out what to do, it occurred to me I had Google Music! I wasn’t really sure what the program did, but I thought now was as good as time as any to give it a shot.  So basically when you download google music on your computer that contains all your music (itunes music included) it automically downloads it to the “cloud” so you can have access to it anywhere, similar to what Apple is doing. Here is the part that is really fantastic…google music actually creates “insta mixes” simlar to Pandora. So if you pick a song, like, Journey, “don’t stop believin” it will pick songs out of your library that are similar and make a 25 song insta mix.  If you don’t have any music on your computer this program wont really impress you,  but if you have saved music over the years like I have then you have plenty to choose from 🙂 Another really cool feature is their ” make available offline” feature. So when I would venture to the beach I would just load my mixs to work offline and poof! You have music on the beach. The app works seamlessly on an android, like my thunderbolt, but there are still some glitches when I tried downloading the app on my ipad. So for iphone users out there you might not see the full benefit until they can fix the app a bit. So as a great alternative to creating your own mixes and Pandora check out Google Music!
